Divergent Netflix

Hoping to capitalize on the similar kind of success that The Hunger Games has enjoyed, The Divergent Series shares many similar attributes to the great Jennifer Lawrence series of movies. For one it’s got a strong female lead and it’s based in a post-apocalyptic world. The series shares so many different attributes that we can pretty much guarantee that any Hunger Games fans will find their feed very easily in the world of Divergent.

The movies are based upon the Divergent novels by Veronica Roth and have been released yearly from 2015. In this post, we’re going to have a look to see which of the Divergent movies are streaming, where they’re streaming and then keep it updated as time goes on and new movies are released. The movie franchise premise is simple, the world has been obliterated to almost the point of extinction. To continue the human race, everyone is divided into different factions based upon their personality and those that don’t fit in are known as Divergent.

The first movie, simply called Divergent (2015) and is available on Netflix in Andorra, Spain and Japan currently. This gave us a glimpse into the world that’s been divided into different factions and gives our introduction to the divergent known as Beatrice ‘Tris’ Prior.

With an uprising inevitable Insurgent (2016) is the dramatic second movie in the franchise. Tris is put through her paces in this second movie and is probably the best movie in the series so far. Unfortunately, this movie isn’t streaming on Netflix as of just yet.

The most recent movie in the franchise, Allegiant, only just released in cinemas in the past few months so it’s unlikely, at least for a while, that we will will see this movie come to Netflix anytime soon. Similarly, it’ll be a long time until we see the 2017 movie, Ascendant come to Netflix.
